Full Review:
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation takes place in Las Vegas. It follows five CSI investigators who work the night shift. A CSI investigator's job is to use forensic science, to pickup evidence that will later incriminate killers and thieves. They'll work as hard as they have to, and focus on every detail, until it leads them to the truth!
The head forensic investigator at CSI is Gil Grissom (William Peterson). A bug addicted genius who's logic and brains seem to find him answers all the time. His assistants are Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger), an ex-stripper who's raising her daughter alone, Nick Stokes (George Eads), Warrick Brown (Gary Dourdan), and Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox).
This is my favorite show on TV! I watch it religiously, every Thursday night. And if there is something that night that's so important I can't miss it, then I have my TiVo tape it! I love the actors, I love the characters, I love the stories, I love the relationships! This is probably the only television show that keeps me entertained week in and week out. I've never seen an episode I didn't like, or a character I couldn't bare!
Which brings me to my next point...CSI hasn't lost any of its main characters. All the original actors from when the show started two years ago, are still on the show today! I can't stress how important that is, when a main character leaves a show, the show goes down hill. It doesn't matter if you have Tom Hanks coming onto the show now! All five original CSIs are on the show, the original cop is, and the original lab technician is there too. (And its a good thing, because it would brake my heart if any of them left!)
The Emmys have been ripping CSI off since the show came on the air. At least this year it got a nomination for best drama series. Last year all it got was a nomination for Marg Helgenberger (which she deserved to have won). William Peterson is on of my favorite television actors (closely following Chi McBride from Boston Public who also hasn't been nominated), and one of the best! I can't think of any reasons why he hasn't been nominated... CSI is one of the most critically acclaimed and well liked TV shows, if that doesn't earn its main character some recognition, then I don't know what does.
One thing I haven't talked about yet, is how amazing CSI's visual effects are. They get some amazing shots of bullets lodged in people's bodies and other explanations of how a crime happened. Its not only candy to the eyes, but I bet a forensic scientist would tell you that its very accurate and educational.
So to wrap up this review, I think CSI is the best show on TV. The acting, the scripts, the producing, and the visual effects are all top notch. The show is a cross between a doctor show (ER) and a cop show (NYPD Blue). You can expect a suspenseful, exciting, original story every week!

This slick crime drama focuses on "crime scene investigation," the specialty of the forensic team in the Las Vegas police departmentē“ Criminalistics Bureau. By relentlessly analyzing every detail at the scene of the crime, no matter how seemingly irrelevant or grotesque in nature, these sleuths have science and experience on their side to solve the case.
